SCHOOL COURSE 'LA PASTICCERIA DEL GELATIERE' TO THE YOUNGESTER OF THE NEW VILLAGGIO DEL FANCIULLO
The collaboration between the New Villaggio del Fanciullo in Ravenna and Casa Optima – Making Life Sweeter Together, has been consolidated.
After the basic gelato-making course held by the teacher Cristina Ricci last June in the premises of the Villaggio del Fanciullo Foundation in Ponte Nuovo, in which eleven guests of the Village took part, eight of those youngsters were invited to San Clemente to attend a one-day course in the Casa Optima School.
Over the past few weeks, following the first course, the youngsters worked hard in the Foundation’s gelato workshop, producing many fruit flavours, using the produce from the in-house garden which they take care of.
On this second occasion, they chose to devote their time to the course ‘pasticceria del gelatiere’ (gelato makers pastries): after making five gelato flavours (Vanilla, Pistachio, hazelnut, Cookies, and black cherry) the youngsters then tried their hand at making gelato on sticks, gelato cakes, and Cookies biscuit gelato.
The participants demonstrated once again to be very attentive and interested, and the end results were visible “- underlines Cristina Ricci with great satisfaction - Overall, it was a truly wonderful and stimulating experience both for the youngsters of the Village as well as for us at Casa Optima”.
At the end of the course, each of the participants were given a certificate of participation “La pasticceria del gelatiere”.
