Casa Optima School Munich: the courses start in September

4 types of courses and 11 appointments are scheduled at the Casa Optima School Munich headquarters where the bell for the 2024/25 school year will ring on September the 18th

 

Enrico Ciapetti, Technical Manager of the Casa Optima School in Munich, and the Product Specialists Omar Meazzo and Gianni De Lucca will welcome and accompany the students in this training experience. 

Inaugurated in 2018, the Munich location every year registers sold out for all the courses on the calendar, attended by both aspiring and professional gelato makers from all over Germany, but also from Austria and Switzerland.  

 

“Each year we have the pleasure of meeting and getting to know many people, each with a different story to tell and different objectives. In 2023, for example, among the newcomers we welcomed an aerospace engineer with a passion for gelato, but also a mother whose dream was to open a small take-away gelato shop,” says Enrico Ciapetti.  

The classroom of 120 square metres will accommodate a maximum of eight people at a time, because as always, the method used is ‘one to one’ with fully equipped individual workstations to immediately allow the students to put into practice the theory, and to constantly interact with the teachers. 

The school will open its doors on the 18th of September with the Basic Course in Gelato Making (six dates are scheduled), but the 2024/25 calendar also includes two dates for the Intermediate Course in Gelato Making, two dates dedicated to the Master Gelato Course and one date reserved for the Gelato Makers Pastry Making Course, making a total of eleven dates from September to April.  

 

The basic course “Das ABC der Eisherstellung” is an interesting introduction to the world of gelato, to discover what is behind the work of the artisan gelato maker, what tools are needed and how gelato is made, with ample space dedicated to individual practical production, the Intermediate course “Die Kunst der Eisherstellung” is intended for those who wish to deepen their technical knowledge, with a program that includes lessons  on balancing  and  the management of the showcase, plus focus dedicated to the world of wellness gelato. 

 

The more experienced professionals will be able to participate in the Master gelato Course, “Master in Gelatoherstellung”, with seminars focusing on a variety of topics, such as gourmet or alcoholic gelato, and the use of infusions that require advanced balancing and to learn all that is necessary to make the business unique, creative and simply enchanting.  

 

For those who wish to expand their business offer with modern pastry proposals, it is possible to attend the “Evolution der Klassiker” course, to learn how to create beautiful single portions, gelato on sticks, logs and many other marvels to be displayed in the upright showcase.  

 

The Casa Optima School is present in Italy, Germany, Brazil, UAE, USA, China, Chile and Mexico, training over 700 professionals every year. In each location, courses are held in the local language to ensure that the training is effective and accessible to all.
