On Wednesday the 14th of May, the 2nd edition of the biennial art competition “Making Life Sweeter Together” has come to an end, the competition created by the Italian Group Casa Optima, proprietor of eight of the most popular and appreciated brands in the sector of artisanal ice cream, quality pastries and mixed drinks, this year was made in collaboration with the Art School ‘Volta – Fellini’ of Riccione.
The prize-giving ceremony, opened by prof. Ileana Belluzzi, head of the artistic projects, took place in the Aula Magna of the Riccione High School where in front of the professors, other students and a technical jury, the student Olga Buga from class 5C was declared the winner. The second place went to Kovalchuk Ksenia from class 5F, and third place went to Rebecca Arcangeli from class 5F.
The theme of the project with which the 40 high school students were put to the test, supervised by professors Emanuele Fabrizioli, Rita Seraghiti, Serenella Gennari and Roberto Caldari, was the reinterpretation in a modern and dynamic key, of Casa Optima’s ‘Corporate Image’, to make it even more relevant and engaging. To do this, the students were inspired by the world of the Sweet Arts (ice cream, pastry, decorations and beverages) interpreted to convey joy, happiness, pleasure and all the emotions linked to the moment of eating an ice-cream cone, a slice of cake or a hot or cold drink. A colourful world, made of high-quality raw materials, passion, craftmanship and continuous innovation.
The jury, composed of Casa Optima CEO Francesco Fattori, CMO Matteo Sala, Ice Cream Marketing Director Cristina Tosi, Pastry Marketing Director Daniele Savioli, Group HR Director Valerio Quarta, Group Digital Marketing Manager Valentina Porcile and CEO of Life - Independent Thinking Alberto Tivoli, explained the choice as follows:
“For having been able to correctly capture and interpret the brief and the values of Casa Optima, through a fresh visual, with a simple, declinable line, and thanks to the use of colour of the characterizing elements such as ice cream, fruit, desserts and beverages.”
As per the regulations, the authors of the first three classified works will be awarded cash prizes, together with a certificate of participation, which will also be given to all the students who participated in the competition.
“ I am very impressed by the attachment and the closeness that I perceive among you students and your professors,” began Francesco Fattori, CEO of Casa Optima Group, during the award ceremony – The projects we viewed and judged were all of an excellent level, both in terms of content and presentation, and it was not an easy task to decide on the winner. For me, you are all winners!”.
“We readily accepted the opportunity to participate in the competition ‘Making Life Sweeter Together’ because we are convinced that we are offering a valuable educational experience to our students,” said the Headmaster Paride Principi. “The Art School ‘Volta – Fellini’ is characterised by the importance it has given over the years to external commissioning projects because they offer an opportunity for students to grow. Partnerships with the most dynamic companies in the area make the school alive and active. We would like to thank the Casa Optima Group for having enthusiastically involved our students in a motivating and stimulating path “.
